Donya Daei

An AHPRA-registered psychologist with clinical experience in both Australia and the U.S., with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, intellectual disabilities, trauma, schizophrenia, and chronic pain. Skilled in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), developing proactive strategies that promote communication, emotional regulation, social engagement, and functional independence. The therapeutic approach integrates play-based therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), tailored to meet each participant’s individual needs.

In addition to therapy, Donya provides a range of comprehensive assessments to inform evidence-based interventions and NDIS reporting. These include cognitive and developmental assessments, adaptive functioning assessments (Vineland-3, ABAS-3), behavioural and emotional assessments (BASC-3, CBCL), mental health and mood assessments, autism and ADHD screening tools (CARS-2, Conners 4, ASRS), functional behaviour assessments (FBA), and quality-of-life and risk assessments. She is experienced in analysing results and translating findings into clear, practical recommendations that support meaningful progress in daily living, learning, and social participation.
